While researching about the impact of trees, I came across a series of incredible pictures featured in National Geographic Magazine. There is an interesting phenomenon called the spider cocoon trees. This was noted in Pakistan and Australia after major flooding there. The spiders fled up the trees and spread a cocoon of their webs, eventually suffocating & killing the trees. Although the pictures of this phenomenon are amazing to look at, it is just another creepy way in which trees are killed. An indirect cause of deforestation. I was one of 15,000 participants from 150 countries that took part in NASA's Special Covid-19 Space Apps Virtual hackathon! This was also my very first hackathon! This website is mostly about that project, and not about me. ArchivesCategories |
